Our Regional Finals could not be the celebrated events they are without support from community role models and hard working, inspirational professionals. Our Regional Final judges are examples to our young speakers of how to be future change-makers, as well as supportive listeners.
Each Regional Final is unique and showcases the most impactful young speakers from the area. For one evening our judges take on the task of listening and watching each speaker, seeing each individual for their own merit. To be a judge you do not need to be a public speaking expert, we provide a briefing and guidance on how to mark with our communication triangle framework.
To get a flavour of what you will be helping with on the night please read our judges’ briefing sheet and watch our video on the communication triangle.
But kudos has to go to the young ppl. My scribbled quote on the judges form: “I laughed, cried (though quickly wiped away tear), learnt – thank you, you incredible, inspiring, brilliant young people”. ❤️ @JPFoundation’s #JPSpeakOut (sorry, photos don’t do justice) @SpeakersTrust pic.twitter.com/jah86HpZBq

We hope you’ll find your experience giving young people a platform to share their stories as rewarding as previous Regional Final judge, Chris. Read his experience.
If you are interested in volunteering an evening of your time to help our speakers, we would love to work with and share our passion for amplifying young people’s voices. In the form below please include dates that suit you (see here for the full list of dates) as well your full name and job title.
