Jack Petchey Foundation celebrates 25th anniversary

1 Mar 2024

Founded in 1999 by Sir Jack Petchey, a visionary philanthropist, the foundation has become synonymous with cultivating resilience, leadership, and confidence in young people. Over the years, it has funded initiatives that extend beyond the classroom, to motivate and celebrate creative and learning achievements.

For 25 years, the Foundation has directly benefitted almost 1.2 million young people across London and Essex!

Thanks to the Foundation and Sir Jack, Speakers Trust has delivered Jack Petchey’s Speak Out Challenge for 18 years, making this partnership a lifelong commitment to building confidence in young people. Within this academic year, we will have trained 300,000 young people in oracy skills that will prove essential for personal and professional development in any path they take.

The celebrations took place in City Hall with the attendance of esteemed partners, guests, teachers and schools, local councils and of course, people who have benefitted from the Foundation’s programmes. The Jack Petchey’s Speak Out Challenge Alumni (pictured in the photo) attended their celebrations and shared their experiences, highlighting the positive impact this challenge has brought in their lives.

The Jack Petchey Foundation’s 25-year legacy is not just a testament to the past but a promise for a brighter future, where every young person is given the tools to create, lead, contribute, and speak out!

Cheers to 25 years of transforming lives and giving young people opportunities to shine!
