Introducing Alumni Ambassador Eve Jupitas Day!

Evelyn Jupitas Day represented St Clere’s School at the Thurrock & Castle Point Regional Final in 2023-24. Her speech, wittingly entitled ’Man Up’, saw her take first place at the Thurrock & Castle Point Regional Final. After her success, Eve was selected as one of only fifteen speakers to go through to the Grand Final at the Cambridge Theatre. As well as gaining invaluable public speaking skills, Eve also appreciates the platform that the Speak Out Challenge can provide to a wealth of students, even those who initially may have struggled with sharing their stories and speaking out.
Eve is one of our Alumni Ambassadors, a group composed of young speakers who have taken part in the Speak Out Challenge with the aim of sharing their experience of every aspect of the programme from in-school workshop through to the Grand Final. Their purpose is to help shape improvements for the future young people that will participate in Jack Petchey’s Speak Out Challenge.
Since 2024, Eve has taken part in various Speakers Trust events including a visit to Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, a reception at Westminster Palace and has acted as one of two student MCs at the Speak Out Challenge Grand Final at the Cambridge Theatre in 2025.
Two years on from her initial workshop, Eve says the highlight of the last two years has not only been the opportunities that this experience has given her but also the joy of meeting so many new people from all different walks of life.
